Welcome to Mainline South, a gallery compiled by Richard Stiles. The main aim of this gallery is to record the railway scene across Europe. Most of the scenes that interest me are disappearing, with modernisation sweeping away the old (but interesting) infrastructure. My focus is primarily hauled workings, either freight or passenger. I hope you enjoy browsing through my photographs.

In the evening I spent a couple of hours getting night shots on the Beauvais ~ Creil line. Came home the next night, after spending a day knocking round Paris.Read More
