A visit to Steinbourg to photograph SNCF BB25500s on the Saverne~Strasbourg~Selestat corridor. Anything else was a bonus, and the heavy freight flow and Alsace REs were that bonus. Because of the TGV Est high speed line works under construction, the line will change dramatically in future, it's well worth a visit. Oh, and for an example of what 'real' trains are all about, the comfort in the Strasbourg~Basel trains is second to none, hauled stock with plenty of seats.
