Kolumnas on the Ostbahn; due to the closure of the mainline through Frankfurt Oder, EC trains were diverted through Lichtenberg to Kostryzn, and diesel hauled by Kolumnas from Deutsche Bahn or MEG (Mitteldeutschen Eisenbahn GmbH). Very cold, and the snow started to fall, but a very enjoyable trip with Mr Caplan. Also visited the superb tram-line from Strausberg to Lustgarten.
